My Module uses Eventlist and extracts form the database the list of event categories with the number of asscoiated events See a Demo HERE
Instructions: 1) Download the mod_eventlist_categories module and install it
2) Go to Extension-->Module Manager
3) Select the "Categories Module for Eventlist" module, configure the "Intro message" parameter with a short introductory message (or empty). 4) Configure the "Show number of Events?" parameter if you want to display the number of events in each catagory.
